Selbstbeschreibung

I work for The Open University, the world's leading distance learning 
University, in the Faculty of Technology, where I am a Senior 
Lecturer in the Information and Communication Technologies 
Department.

I am one of the OU's pioneers in putting distance learning on-line, 
with an emphasis on collaborative learning and on-line support 
communities.

My major interests at present are:

    *

      Promoting my book: eGaia, Growing a peaceful, sustainable 
Earth through communications and the ideas in it.
    *

      The Open Co-op, my new project which is implementing the 
visions in my book. Its purpose: To build a worldwide community of 
individuals and organisations committed to creating a collaborative, 
sustainable economy.
